Town of Wake Forest recently issued the following announcement.

Wake Forest Kiwanis Club

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to ‘changing the world, one child and one community at a time.’ Its mission is “to serve children of the world”. Locally, the Wake Forest Kiwanis Club is involved in many projects which include: providing dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the schools, sponsoring Key Clubs and Builder’s Clubs in local schools, passing out water at the July 4th children’s parade, providing scholarships, assisting at school cookouts, Salvation Army bell ringers, Wake Forest Christmas Parade, toy drives, food drives, Foster Kids Christmas Party, school supply collection, Lobster Bingo and many others.
