Raleigh Parks has announced the dedication of Latta University Historic Park, inviting the community to join in the celebration. According to Raleigh Parks, "This park contributes to a rich history that deepens our understanding of African American life in Raleigh at the turn of the 20th century."
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 20, starting at 4 p.m. All parking for the dedication will be at Jaycee Park, located at 2405 Wade Ave, Raleigh, NC 27607, with transportation available to Latta University Historic Park at 1001 Parker Street, Raleigh, NC 27607 via trolley starting at 3:45 p.m.
Following the dedication ceremony, the Friends of Oberlin Village will be hosting their 10th Annual Celebrate Oberlin event. More information about this event can be found on friendsofoberlinvillage.org.
