Join us for a virtual environmental lecture series held every second Monday of the month. Each session features a new topic, offering insights from professionals and graduate students in their areas of expertise. Participants can earn one hour of Criteria III EE credit.

The upcoming lecture, titled "Bridging the Gap: Environmental Justice and Food Apartheid," will delve into how environmental factors such as pollution, lack of green spaces, and inadequate infrastructure disproportionately impact marginalized communities, resulting in food deserts and swamps. The discussion will include real-world examples and propose actionable strategies to address these issues, aiming to foster healthier and more sustainable communities.

"This lecture is essential for policymakers, community leaders, urban planners, and anyone interested in advocating for social justice and public health," organizers stated.

Details for the next session are as follows:

- Date: Monday, July 8

- Time: 7 - 8 p.m.

- Ages: 12 and older

- Cost: Free

Interested participants can register on RecLink.
