In an upcoming program, participants will learn to identify local trees based on various characteristics such as bark, limb structure, buds, branching patterns, leaves, seeds, and habitat. The class aims to provide comprehensive knowledge for tree identification.

Participants will receive local tree field guides to take home. As this is an outdoor class, attendees are advised to dress appropriately for weather conditions and walking in the woods. The program offers three hours of Criteria II (outdoor) or Criteria III credit toward North Carolina Educator Certification.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 8th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and is open to individuals aged 18 and up. The cost of participation is $10. Interested individuals can register on RecLink.
