Lake Wheeler Park hosts witch-themed paddle event

Don your witchy regalia and load up your SUP, kayak, or canoe for a cackling good time! Pointy hats and cloaks are strongly encouraged, but any expression and interpretation of witchery are welcome. This event is for all witches of all genders. Young witches between ages 10-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please arrive at 1 p.m. to launch and gather on the water by 1:30 p.m. for a photo and self-guided leisurely, magical paddle around the lake. This event runs until 3:30 p.m., but you are welcome to depart at your leisure if you have your own paddle craft. Kayak reservations for this event will end the day before.

Ages: Family & Adults (an adult must accompany children)

Cost: Personal launch - $5 / Reserved kayaks - $15

Important Information:

The fee for a personal launch is $5. Personal Flotation Devices are required. You assume responsibility and risk of your paddle craft and being off the water by 6:30 p.m.

The fee for reserved kayaks is $15. Personal Flotation Devices are provided and required. Please arrive on time and return boats to staff on shore by the end of the program at 3:30 p.m.

Please secure all costumes and accessories to prevent trash in the lake.

The Park Gates close at 7 p.m.
