Pickleball enthusiasts can now hone their skills at the Lake Lynn Community Center through clinics led by Bruce Blankenhorn, a USA Pickleball ambassador and certified instructor. The clinics cater to both beginner and intermediate players, offering structured lessons aimed at improving game competency.
Beginner lessons are designed for new or improving players. These sessions cover the rules of the game and help participants develop basic skills. Each lesson typically includes warmups, discussions, demonstrations, skill practice, and games. Players will gain familiarity with pickleball play and work on enhancing their abilities.
Intermediate lessons target those who already have a basic understanding of the game and play regularly but wish to improve further. These sessions focus on strategy, tactics, and playing games to boost proficiency on the court.
The clinics are scheduled every Wednesday with beginner classes from 9 to 10:45 a.m., followed by intermediate sessions from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The cost is $25 for residents and $40 for non-residents per clinic. Participants must be aged 18 or older. Registration is available on RecLink.
