The annual Heirloom Plant Sale at Mordecai Historic Park offers an opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to purchase a variety of heirloom plants, including tomatoes, peppers, squash, and herbs. These plants are cultivated from seed by the park's gardeners. The event is scheduled for April 25 and 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Mordecai Visitor Center.
In addition to plant sales, educational presentations will be held on April 26. The Wake County Beekeepers Association will present at 10 a.m., followed by the Raleigh Garden Club at 11 a.m. These sessions aim to educate attendees about local gardening efforts in Raleigh.
Attendees can engage with gardeners who will be available to answer questions and provide information about the park's garden and grounds. The event is free to attend; however, plants must be purchased.
