Governor Josh Stein has announced the launch of a new website aimed at attracting displaced federal public servants to North Carolina. The initiative is designed to encourage individuals affected by Hurricane Helene or recent federal budget cuts to explore employment opportunities within the state government.

Governor Stein emphasized the appeal of North Carolina as a place for both personal and professional growth. “North Carolina is a great place to live, play, and work,” he stated. He highlighted the importance of public servants in shaping the state's identity and expressed pride in welcoming skilled individuals to join their ranks.

Staci Meyer, Director of the Office of State Human Resources (OSHR), also extended an invitation to those who have recently lost their positions. “If you have recently been displaced from your career of service, North Carolina encourages you to apply,” she said. Meyer assured potential applicants that her team would assist them in finding suitable job matches.

The newly launched platform can be accessed at www.nc.gov/joinNC. It connects applicants with OSHR employment recruiters who will align their skills with available state government positions. The state seeks experienced professionals eager for careers in public service, offering roles across various industries.
