Raleigh Arts and United Arts Wake County have announced the continuation of their partnership to offer the Arts Learning Community for Universal Access. This program is designed for nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in Raleigh that aim to enhance their inclusivity by integrating people and artists with disabilities into their programming.
The program, now entering its tenth year, begins with participation in LEAD, The Kennedy Center’s annual Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability Conference. Following this event, participants will engage in monthly facilitated sessions to share experiences, discuss accessibility issues, and work towards set goals to better include individuals with disabilities in the arts.
Applications are open for the 2025-2026 cohort, which runs from August 2025 through June 2026. Interested organizations must apply by Monday, April 21, 2025.
Raleigh Arts serves as the city’s center for public art and community arts programming. It supports Raleigh's nonprofit arts sector through partnerships and resources. Additionally, Raleigh Arts manages several exhibition spaces and the Municipal Art Collection.
The Raleigh Arts Partner Program collaborates with local nonprofit arts entities to ensure diverse artistic offerings are available throughout the city. The Arts Learning Community for Universal Access is a key initiative under this program.
