The Carolina Hurricanes are set to face the Los Angeles Kings in an upcoming match on Saturday, March 22. The game will commence at 4:00 p.m. ET and can be viewed on FanDuel Sports Network South or listened to via 99.9 The Fan.

The Hurricanes come into this game with a record of 42-22-4, holding second place in the Metropolitan Division. Their recent victory was a 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks, marking their eighth consecutive win and extending the league's longest active winning streak. Seth Jarvis extended his point streak to six games, while Sebastian Aho and Sean Walker also contributed goals. Frederik Andersen secured his fourth consecutive win as goaltender with 24 saves.

Carolina's defense has been pivotal during their winning streak, allowing two or fewer goals in each of their last eight games. This defensive strength is supported by goaltenders Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov, both showing impressive save percentages over recent matches.

Pyotr Kochetkov is expected to start as goaltender against the Kings, boasting a .919 save percentage in his last 14 appearances.

The Los Angeles Kings have also been performing well, with a record of 37-21-9 and third place in the Pacific Division. They have won six out of their last seven games, allowing only 11 goals during that span. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper has played a key role with a .964 save percentage over these games.

Offensively, Adrian Kempe leads the Kings with 55 points in 67 games, while Quinton Byfield has accumulated 17 points in his last 18 games since February.

In terms of injuries for the Hurricanes, forward Andrei Svechnikov suffered an upper-body injury but may return this weekend according to coach Rod Brind'Amour. William Carrier remains sidelined with a lower-body injury but recently returned to skating practice. Jesper Fast was ruled out for the season earlier this year.

Following this game against the Kings, the Hurricanes will face off against the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday before returning home to play Nashville on Tuesday.
