Toyota is making a mark at the 2025 New York International Auto Show with its new GR special edition vehicles, showcasing the GR Supra MkV Final Edition and GR86 Yuzu Special Edition. Alongside these models, Toyota presents its latest lineup, including the updated Grand Highlander, Camry, and the all-new 4Runner. The event will take place at the Javits Center from April 18-27.
The GR Supra MkV Final Edition, which debuted at the Grand Prix of Long Beach, is making its first auto show appearance. "Track-tested and street-ready, the GR Supra is a testament to Toyota's commitment to performance cars – and their enthusiasts," the company stated. The special edition vehicle includes unique updates such as optimized tuning, improved braking, chassis, and suspension enhancements.
Additionally, the GR86 Yuzu Special Edition brings vibrant color with its Yuzu Yellow exterior, inspired by a past special edition of the Scion FR-S. "Toyota's GR models undergo rigorous development and testing with input from Toyota's GAZOO Racing drivers and MORIZO himself," the automaker explained. This model features matte black wheels and a complementary yellow and black interior.
Attendees at the Toyota display will also see the "4Runner Landia" exhibit, which presents the new 2025 4Runner as part of a campaign offering participants a chance to win a 4Runner along with land ownership for adventures. Artist Danny Cortes, in collaboration with Toyota, will showcase a miniature interpretation of 4Runner Landia. Cynthia Barreras from Toyota will speak at the event on April 16.
Toyota has been an integral part of the U.S. community for nearly 70 years. The company has 1,500 dealerships nationwide and directly employs nearly 48,000 people. In spring 2025, Toyota anticipates producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles at their North Carolina plant, adding to their 32 existing electrified options.
