The upcoming basketball training programs for youth and teens are set to begin at Lake Lynn Park. These sessions, aimed at players aged 8-12 and 13-17 respectively, focus on skill acquisition and development through deliberate practice and game-specific movements.
For the younger group, the program promises to teach participants how to prepare their bodies for the sport's demands while developing confidence and on-court intelligence. The sessions will run from November 9 to December 16, with classes scheduled on Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Registration costs range from $21 to $46.
Teen Basketball Training follows a similar structure, designed for players aged 13-17. It aims to build strong fundamentals as a foundation for advanced-level basketball training. Classes will take place on Mondays from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., also running from November 9 through December 16.
Both programs encourage players to use their training creatively on the court while fostering unique perspectives on the game. Interested participants can register via RecLink.
