The State Water Infrastructure Authority is set to hold its next meeting both in person in Edenton and via teleconference. Scheduled for April 16 and April 17, the event will be available to the public either in the Edenton Municipal Building or through Webex.
The agenda for the meeting includes sessions on Wednesday, April 16, from 2 to 4:35 p.m., and Thursday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Members of the public wishing to listen online can use the Webex links and phone numbers provided for each day.
"WHAT: Meeting of the State Water Infrastructure Authority," the announcement states. The public can access the meeting online on the specified dates with passwords and access codes. For April 16, the access code is 2432 177 2520, and for April 17, the access code is 2439 801 9743. Those who want to comment during the public comment portion must register by 8 a.m. on April 17.
The authority handles the awarding of federal and state funding for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Its duties also include developing a master plan for state water infrastructure, maximizing the use of available funding, and examining best practices.
