Amazon Web Services (AWS) has expanded its training portfolio since 2023 to help individuals leverage new innovations in generative artificial intelligence (AI). This expansion aligns with Amazon's long-standing focus on AI and machine learning (ML), which have been integral to the company's operations for over 25 years.
The increasing demand for cloud expertise is highlighted by the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2023, which states that more than 75% of organizations intend to adopt big data, cloud computing, and AI within the next five years. In response, AWS has developed a variety of free and low-cost courses designed to enhance skills in generative AI.
"AWS offers six game-based training experiences to power up your cloud skills," notes the release. It adds that "research shows that highly interactive, game-based learning leads to better knowledge outcomes."
The new training courses are intended for learners across different roles and experience levels. AWS aims to empower both nontechnical and technical individuals, decision-makers, and partners with the necessary skills in generative AI. The courses offer flexibility in learning through brief on-demand videos or hands-on interactive challenges within a secure sandbox environment provided by AWS.
"We’re empowering nontechnical and technical learners, decision-makers, and AWS Partners to build their knowledge and skills with generative AI," according to the release. These educational resources cater specifically to various roles: nontechnical participants, developers, technical experts, and business professionals.
While these courses are open to anyone interested in expanding their understanding of generative AI technologies, they are tailored for specific audiences based on role-specific needs.
