The City of Raleigh's Community Engagement Board (CEB) has partnered with Cortico, a platform designed for community dialogue. This collaboration aims to enhance the board's mission to gather and disseminate the diverse perspectives of Raleigh's residents.
"The partnership with Cortico aligns with Board’s ongoing commitment to enhance public participation and transparency," the announcement declares. The Community Conversations initiative, backed by Cortico, will facilitate structured discussions among residents, incorporating their insights into policy decisions.
The board has achieved several recent milestones. Members completed a comprehensive training to boost their effectiveness in community outreach. CEB has also created digital channels with an official email and social media presence (@RaleighCEB) aimed at improving communication with the public.
Additional efforts include the development of a Public Comment Tracker to manage community feedback and a video to educate residents on public comment participation. "A newly designed informational piece has been created and approved to help inform the public about the Board’s initiatives and resources," as part of the recent developments.
The board also adopted an Information Access Policy and Social Media Code of Conduct Policy to maintain transparent engagement. Their collaboration with Transit Oriented Design and Affordable Housing (TODAH) supports the Public Project Community Support Fund, ensuring robust community input.
These efforts signify the board's pledge to foster meaningful dialogue with Raleigh residents while committing to civic participation. Community members are urged to follow the CEB on social media and stay updated on board activities and engagement efforts.
